Gary V. reacted on the false news about his son Gab Valenciano

Even the mainstream media still become a victim of fake news.

Fake news sites are circulating and informing netizens that Gab Valenciano has passed away. Netizens were shocked even the ABS-CBN news were victimized of this hoax circulating online saying that Gab Valenciano, son of Mr. Pure Energy Gary V. passed away because of depression.

The said video is entitled “Gab Valenciano Pumanaw na matapos MAGPAKAMATAY sa kanilang bahay sa San Juan” (Gab Valenciano passed away after killing himself in their home in San Juan), published by a certain YouTube account named 24 News last Saturday, Sept. 14.

On his Instagram account, the singer/dancer expressed his disappointment and warning at the sa time to people not believe this story.

“ALERT: This news is going around now. THERE IS NO TRUTH TO ANY OF THIS!!!
This isn’t the fault of ABSCBN NEWS. It looks like even they were a victim of this. It’s TOTALLY FAKE!!! A news clip about another issue was used and Gab’s face was simply added on to the clip.
Please do not believe such news immediately!!! God bless us all”

His post featured a screenshot of a Facebook user notifying him about the said video. The clip shows Gab’s face juxtaposed on a previous news report by ABS-CBN about deaths in a house in San Juan City.

He then informed the netizens that this is just a click-bait and “there is no truth to any of this!”
