It’s already been three months after the ‘Tawag Ng Tanghalan’ judge Yeng Constantino received a massive criticism and bashing from the netizens especially from the people in the medical field.
This is all started when the singer used her Youtube vlog to express her disappointments and high emotion towards a doctor in a hospital in Siargao.
It can be remembered that Yeng and her husband went to Siargao but unfortunately, an accident happened to her husband.
To her dismay, he called out the doctor and the hospital on her Youtube vlog and allegedly Yeng made a doctor-shaming on social media.
Although Yeng already said sorry for her irresponsible social media post, the singer decided to take a leave on using the social media platform.
Her self-imposed ban took three months until she talks about it again.
In an interview with some press during her intimate launch of Society of Philippine Entertainment Editors (SPEEd) last September 24, Yeng shared her feelings on going back to social media after three months.
“Bumubuwelo pa ako.
“Hindi pa ako bumabalik, magtu-two and a half months na.
“It’s my first time to be bashed that much.
“Na-culture shock ako.
“Pero sobra akong mahilig sa social media. As in sobrang hilig ko.
“So, parang what happened to me, sobra akong nahu-homesick na rin kasi nami-miss ko na ang social media.
“Pero I decided to stop for a while. Kasi akala mo minsan kaya mo, pero hindi ko pala kaya yun.”
This just means that the singer had trauma after what she experienced.
“Oo, as in pag nakakita ako ng YouTube logo, minsan kinakabahan ako, ‘Uy.’
“Kapag nakakita ako ng Twitter, sinabi ko ‘yan sa psychologist sa Magandang Buhay.”
Yeng also added, “Alam ko pong… matagal na ako sa industry.
“I’ve been here for 12 years and at times you feel you’re so strong.
“Paisa-isang bash, parang wala kang reaksiyon.
“Pero pag bulto, parang hindi mo alam ang gagawin mo.
“I really felt so sad and shocked how much yung power ng social media is very powerful.
“At the same time, practice of gratefulness, kasi I have a talent management na sobrang bait. ‘Yeng, what you did was wrong.’
“And they told me kung anong kamalian ko in the most gentlest way.
“Naiyak ako kasi mali ako.”
Yeng Constantino surely learned her lessons and promised to be more responsible for social media posts the next time.
Currently, the singer will have a new movie titled “Write About Love” with Rocco Nacino, Miles Ocampo, and Joem Bascon
