James Reid explains why he doesn’t like to be paired up with Julia Barretto

Showbiz today is unpredictable. They have to come up with different ideas to keep the showbiz fans excited and hype on their idols.

One thing they did is the experimental love teams. Your favorite celebrity couple pairing up with different artists.

Some of them succeeded in their projects but some are not. One good example is Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards.

We all know that Kathryn’s love team is her real-life boyfriend, Daniel Padilla, while Alden is formerly paired with Maine Mendoza.

Both celebrities came from a different network, however, their fans accepted and supported their project.

As the experimental love team is the trends today, famous celebrities were asking if they will accept such project knowing that they have their own love team.

On Tonight With Boy Abunda, James Reid was asked about potentially teaming up with today’s top leading ladies. The actor-musician said yes to Liza Soberano, Kathryn Bernardo, Janella Salvador (“if we could work together, hopefully with some music”), and Yassi Pressman (“a friend of mine since Diary Ng Panget”).

When asked about potentially being paired with Julia Barretto, the Kapamilya actor James Reid has this intriguing reaction.

James said no. “There’s too much noise when it comes to fans and stuff. I have no problem with her. There’s just too much noise.” Host Boy Abunda asked, “Para walang gulo?” James said, “Yeah. Let’s make life easy.”

As for his girlfriend Nadine Lustre’s potential leading men, James said yes to Daniel Padilla, Joshua Garcia (“I can see the project happening”), Arjo Atayde (“an amazing actor”), and Coco Martin (“if it will be an action project because Nadine has always wanted to do action”). What about Gerald Anderson? James said he was about to say no, “but that smile is so…” Referring to Gerald’s photo that was shown to him, James quipped, “It’s hard to say no when he’s smiling like that.”

James Reid has a real-life girlfriend, his love team Nadine Lustre. The two will celebrate their fourth anniversary in February next year.

In the interview, James said jealousy is not an issue in their relationship. “It’s good to be in a relationship where you feel safe and solid.” How does he deal with people flirting with him? “In any relationship, I don’t give [my girlfriend] any reason to feel jealous or insecure.” What about those who want to spend the night with him? James laughed and said, “No, they don’t even get close.”

So what can you say?
