Is Janno Gibbs banned from ABS-CBN?

Our Christmas season somehow will be incomplete without the inspiring station ID of big TV networks in the country.

Two media giants in the Philippines, GMA and ABS-CBN, released their respective Christmas Station IDs and it seems like singer Janno Gibbs got disappointed that he was not included in any of the two.

The Kapamilya network already launched its station ID last Sunday at “ASAP Natin ‘To”.

Apparently, the singer took the social media to express his feelings. On his Instagram account, Janno posted a photo taken from his contract signing with ABS-CBN implying that the network must have “forgotten” to include him in the video.

The said post is already deleted, however, many entertainment websites were able to take screenshots of it.

Jano Gibbs said on his caption,

“Throwback to September 12 this year when I signed with Star Music Philippines. Naalala ko lang. Sila yata di ako naalala e,” he wrote on Instagram adding the hashtags “#wagnyokohanapinsastationid” and “#lakipanglogosalikod”

One user dared to ask him why he wasn’t included in ABS-CBN’s station ID.

“Di kasi ako network contract. Pero alam ko pag recording artist, automatic kasali sa station ID,” the singer answered.

Another netizen asked him to just delete the post since it seems like he was ranting against ABS-CBN and it might spark problems with the network.

“I’m simply conveying my feelings. Dinaan ko pa nga sa joke. If it were a rant, serious yung caption. I’m not looking for pity, I just want to explain because people ask me what’s my project now.”

Meanwhile, in an interview with Janno, he was asked about his current relationship with ABS-CBN.

The singer, without any hesitation, answered them directly.

“Hindi parin OK, sana maging OK. Alam ko naman yung ginawa ko e, nag post kasi ako.”

“Well, pag tinignan niyo yung post ko, may smiley naman yun tska laughing face tska peace sign. So medyo pa-cute naman yung post ko. Pero syempre nung pinick-up na nung iba wala na yung smiley face tska db, serious na yung dating.”

Janno Gibbs although seems disappointed, shared a good news.

“My kids are with Star Records, very active sila ngayon. Kaka guest lang nila sa ASAP tska sa Boy Abunda, so im hoping to still work with the ABS soon, also with GMA.”

The singer is currently a freelancer but he still hopes to work again with any TV networks.

“Actually nag-eenjoy ako ng freelance, kahit saaan pwede ako, but I hope to work with both soon.”

Later on during the interview, Janno admitted that he wasn’t able to apologize to ABS-CBN.

“I know what I did. Valid naman yung reaksyon ng ABS. Kasi syempre feeling ko nung nag post ako wala naman ako mga followers eh, wala naman papansin nito, e pinagsususulat ng mga tao.”

Janno Gibbs is one of the prominent actors and singers in the country. His prominence came to rose during the ’90s with his role in the sitcom Ober Da Bakod and Beh Bote Nga.
