Thousands of Filipinos living near the volcano and surrounding areas fled their homes after the Taal Volcano in Batangas started spewing kilometers-high ash Sunday afternoon, January 12.
Taal Volcano spewed lava fountains and triggered ashfall that spread not just in Batangas but also to other parts of the Calabarzon region, as well as to Metro Manila and Central Luzon.
After the Taal eruption, at least 27,000 evacuees now spread out in more than 70 evacuation centers in Batangas.
Local government units in and outside of Batangas province are also seeking donations to the affected communities.
That is why many Filipino celebrities gathered their resources together.
Several celebrities already showed their concern and extended help to the evacuees.
Angel Locsin took to her social media accounts to ask for things needed by those affected by the eruption.
Matteo Guidicelli joins the Philippine Army to distribute relief goods to around 200 families in the Batangas City Evacuation Center.
Jennica Garcia, together with the Alliance Search and Rescue Medical Team, also went straight to Batangas to distribute donations.
And just recently, the famous Kapamilya love team Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla (dubbed as KathNiel) also showed their concern and extended help to the evacuees.
In a video posted by a Facebook Page “All About Kathniel” shown that their respective family is packing relief goods.
Thank you so much, Bernardo and Ford family for extending help para sa mga evacuees na nasalanta ng pagsabog ng Bulkang Taal sa Batangas! No wonder these two families are blessed. 💙 Kathryn and Daniel are blessed because they never stop helping people in need. They work in silence. I-broadcast man nila sa mismong accounts nila o hindi, ang mahalaga alam ng Panginoon na tumutulong sila. 😊Video credit: @bernardomin IG story & @mor1019jhaiho https://t.co/9bezyGa4Yr

It can be seen in the said video a lot of relief goods such as coffee, hygiene kits, and many more.
Kathniel then spotted at San Luis Batangas, a netizen named Kirby Manalo posted a photo of Kath and Daniel personally delivered the relief goods for their community.
The villagers seem so happy to see the presence of their idols, plus those goods that the couple has brought for them.
They are such an inspiration.
