Sen. Manny Pacquaio and Jack Ma to donate 50,000 COVID-19 test kits to the Philippines

Sen. Manny Pacquaio at Chinese Billionaire Jack Ma extended their hands to the Philippines as they donate 50,000 test kits for the battle against COVID-19.

The boxing champ and public servant announced on Tuesday that his foundation has partnered with Chinese billionaire Jack Ma’s foundation.

According to a tweet by the Manny Pacquiao Foundation, this is their part in the efforts to fight COVID-19 in the Philippines.


“We’re excited to announce the Jack Ma Foundation, in partnership with @PacquiaoFoundation is pledging 50,000 test kits to combat COVID-19 in the Philippines.”

“With everything that’s happening around the world today, there is no better time to unite and do whatever we can to help each other. Thank you @JackMaFoundation for this generous donation!” he said on his tweet.


Prior to this, the Department of Health (DOH) revealed that it only had 2,000 test kits.

The test kits developed by the University of the Philippines medical experts are still up for evaluation.

Previously, it was reported that the Chinese embassy and China Mammoth Foundation donated about 2,000 corona-virus kits to the Philippines.

Meanwhile, Jack Ma reportedly tagged as the richest man in China as of March 2020. He is a prominent business tycoon and co-founder of the Alibaba Group.


While Manny Pacquaio is one of the richest personalities in the Philippines because of his undeniable talent in boxing.
