Losing a loved one suddenly is like having your entire world shatter at an instant.

For Vice Ganda, his grief overwhelmed him as he begged off from joining the first part of the online gathering of It’s Showtime on Tuesday, June 9 for the show’s comeback on the Kapamilya Channel this Saturday, June 13. Co-host Vhong Navarro revealed the reason for his absence during the virtual presser: the passing of his best friend, Budi.

Vice then post an emotional and heartfelt message to the person he calls his “brother,” “family,” and “best friend.”

Prior to this, Vice’s statement about unfollowing him on social media received mixed reactions from social media users.

“Ayoko pong makadagdag sa mga pinagdadaanan niyo. Kung ok ako sa inyo at mga tweets ko please continue following me. Salamat po,” Vice said.

“Pero kung ayaw niyo sakin at sa mga tweets ko please do yourselves a little favor. Please unfollow me. Don’t allow me to annoy you. And don’t be a toxic follower,” he added.

Budi, who is also Vice’s companion at home, bid his goodbye because of heart att4ck.

Behind the laughter that he is giving to his fans, it is known to many that Vice went through a lot of hardships in life. He literally started from scratch when he was trying a career in showbiz.

We express our sincere condolences to Vice and the family and loved ones Budi left behind.
