Regine Velasquez reacts on the news that Ogie Alcasid passed away

Amid the pandemic, social media is now filled with sad and negative news, especially regarding our celebrities.

It is not just the intense bashing that artists experience during the rise of social media.

To their own detriment, there are people who have no conscience to “k!ll” them unopposed. People who are not afraid of the rapid reversal of bad karma.

After k!lling Ai-Ai delas Alas and Michael V. on social media, singer-comedian Ogie Alcasid is the new d#ath-hoax victim.

According to untrue news, he was found lifeless inside his car parked in front of their home.

Ogie quickly corrected the news that spread this Sunday afternoon, July 26.

“Guys this is fa’ke news. Did not show the name of the person who posted. Ipagdasal na lang natin. Magmahalan pa tayo.”

However, people now days can easily believe such news they saw on social media.

Regine Velasquez, Ogie’s wife, also pleaded for the person who spread the news.

Regine is worried because they have relatives who could be affected by the negative news.

“Bakit naman kailangan gumawa ng ganitong balita. Alam namin at tanggap na namin na parti na ng aming buhay ang pag-usapan kami mahirap pero kasama talaga ito sa trabaho namin.

“May pamilya po kaming maaaring mag-alala kung ito ay mabasa nila. Kaya pakiusap po ‘wag naman.

“To our families and friends this is a fa’ke news Ogie is home safe and healthy. God bless po.”

Regine, on the other hand, remains steadfast despite the fact that she has also been a victim of judgments many times. She hasn’t been tempted by her detractors since she left GMA-7. And moved to ABS-CBN until she defended Kapamilya station.
